Stephanie M. Etiennee is a Master of Science Graduate Degree student at Chamberlain University. She is completing her internship to become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialist across the lifespan. She is fascinated by the healthcare system, a field she enjoys participating in. She has been a Registered Nurse for nearly seven years. She got her Master’s in nursing informatics from Capella University; she has learned that education is one of the most proactive measures a nurse can use to provide holistic care to a patient with compliance. Two years ago, she lost her younger brother, who had committed suicide; she was saddened by such news. Through that sorrowful family event, she quickly turned it into an opportunity to complete her Master’s in Psychiatry as a Nurse Practitioner to bring awareness to her community facing suicidal practice, a rising habit among us. She is currently doing her practicum hours in Psych at Chelmsford Hope Healthcare. She is determined to achieve this program to step into the field to make a difference and help prevent any harmful damages that psychiatric behavior could cause to a patient and their family.
